Dear Annie,

Thanks so much for your comment. As a personal historian I love knowing that there's more than one way to tap into a person's treasury of precious memories. Whether the recollection comes in the form of a written story describing a significant personal event or videotaped memories connected to a special family heirloom, it is all valuable.
Thanks for writing.

Best wishes,
Lin

Amazing how different countries use the same word for something entirely different, Lin. I my country, Australia, biscuits are hard crisp savoury or sweet crackers or cookies which are usually enjoyed with a cup of tea.
I loved the story about your grandmother baking biscuits for breakfast and understand how much you must treasure her oft used measuring cups and spoons. More often than not, it is these frequently used items that evoke the strongest memories of a much cherished person and their daily habits.
